The history of briquetting goes back to the time when, for the first time, ways of making efficient use of coal and biomass waste were discovered.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This waste product could not simply be incinerated, which led to the development of the first compression technologies. England was one of the first countries to make coal briquetting a popular solution (FAO, 2001). The first briquettes were handmade, but with the development of industrial machinery, the first mechanised presses appeared.
